What is it?

Molecular Origami for Biochemistry is a set of PDF files that can be printed, cut, glued, folded, and taped together to make 3D models of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and DNA.

How does it work?

Most models can be printed on standard 20 lb printer paper. A few models work best with heavier paper or card stock. The models can be printed in a larger scale over multiple pages, or printed on various colors of paper. When printed at 250% scale, the paper models are roughly equivalent in scale to the Minit biochemistry molecular model set (see picture above, right). Instructions are included with the PDF, and YouTube videos are in development and linked within the PDF where available.

Can I use it in my class?

When you purchase a PDF file by clicking on one of the "add to cart" buttons above, you will receive an email link to download your own personalized copy, which will be stamped with your email address. You may print as many copies as you wish for your own personal use. Teachers interested in purchasing the PDF for use in their classes should purchase a classroom copy, which includes explicit copyright permission to print and photocopy the models for their classes.

Updates?

When a model is updated, purchasers will receive a discount code to download the new version for no charge.
